Ahead of Day 3’s play at the Optus Stadium in Perth, India’s stand-in captain and pacer spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was seen sharing a special moment with former Australia pacer and legend Brett Lee. The Indian speedster was seen engaging in a qucik chat on the sidelines of the opening Test at the Optus Stadium after finishing with a five-wicket haul on Saturday, November 23.

The moment came into limelight just ahead of Day 3’s play as the team was seen practicing with India taking a dominant 218-run lead at Stumps on Day 2, courtesy a century from Yashasvi Jaiswal (161) and half-century from KL Rahul. Earlier on Day 2, the Men in Blue depleted the hosts at the score of 104 on the back of a five-wicket haul from Bumrah.

Bumrah, who has been having a fine run, ran through the Australian attack, dismissing Usman Khawaja, Nathan McSweeney, Steve Smith, Alex Carey and Pat Cummins. On Sunday, November 24, Bumrah was seen having a quick talk with Lee, with the former also replicating the the Aussie great’s famous chainsaw celebration. Apart from this, Bumrah also tried to imitate Lee’s run-up and bowling action, video of which has been doing rounds on social media.

Speaking of the ongoing first Test, India’s scorecard read 359/5 at Tea on Day 3 with Virat Kohli (40 off 74) and Washington Sundar (14 off 41) in the middle. At the end of second session in first Test, India added 84 runs to extend their lead past 400.
