Pakistan A captain Mohammad Haris recently made a shocking revelation ahead of their ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 opener. The young Pakistan captain, who will lead the Pakistan Shaheens, in a video making rounds on social media revealed that the players are banned from talking about India in the dressing room.
This statement from Haris comes ahead of their clash against India A, which is scheduled to take place on October 19. Notably, Pakistan, along with India, UAE and Oman are part of Group B of the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup, whereas Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A and Hong Kong make up for Group A.

Speaking ahead of Pakistan’s campaign at the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, their skipper, Mohammad Haris dropped a bombshell as he revealed that team is banned from talking about Team India in the dressing room. "Aapko ek baat batau. Pehli dafa hoga ke iss dressing room mei Bharat par baat karne pe pabandi hai (I will tell you one thing; it's the first time ever that we are not allowed to talk about India in the dressing room)," Haris said in a video that has gone viral on social media.

Haris also added that talking of India in the dressing room add extra pressure on the players. "We don't have to think (only) about India, we have to think about other teams as well. I have been in the (senior) Pakistan team, played the last World Cup as well. It creates so much pressure that mentally you are thinking about India, India. We have to face other teams as well. So this team is currently banned (from talking about India). We have not talked about India so far in the dressing room. Not just India, we have to respect other teams as well," he clarified.
Speaking of the tournament, Pakistan Shaheens will kick start their campaign with a match against arch-rivals India A at the Al Amerat on October 19. They will next take on Oman on October 21, followed by a match against UAE on October 23.
