La Liga giants Real Madrid present the club’s newest signing England midfielder Jude Bellingham at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu. The 19-year-old from Borussia Dortmund as he arrives in Madrid after being voted the best player in the Bundesliga 2022/23. Bellingham has also been a regular starter for the England national team.
Before the presentation ceremony, Jude Bellingham signed his contract in the boardroom at Real Madrid City, accompanied by club president Florentino Pérez. Later during the ceremony, Bellingham took up the iconic number five shirt previously worn by club legend and former Ballon d’Or winner Zinedine Zidane.

Talking about Real Madrid’s newest signing, club president Florentino Pérez described Jude Bellingham as one of the best players in the world. Further, he expressed gratitude towards the Englishman for choosing the Los Blancos as his club. He said, “One of best players in the world joins us today. Jude is here because he wanted it. He could’ve gone to any other club, as many wanted him… but he chose to be at Real Madrid. So welcome and thank you for your ambition”.
Further describing his feelings about joining the Los Blancos, Jude Bellingham stated this has been one of the most important days of his life as he is joining the biggest club in the world. He said, “I'm joining the biggest club in the world. This is the most important day of my life because I'm joining the biggest club in the world. Thanks to everyone who made it possible: Borussia Dortmund, Birmingham City, the president of Real Madrid, Juni Calafat, José Ángel Sánchez and my family for all their support. Hala Madrid!”
