In a heartwarming gesture, Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer was spotted giving underprivileged kids some cold drinks in the afternoon sun outside Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The moment happened prior to the highly anticipated Irani Cup 2024 match in the Uttar Pradesh capital between Shreyas Iyer’s domestic team Mumbai, the reigning Ranji Trophy champions, and the Rest of India (ROI).
Notably, Shreyas Iyer had hidden a few cold drink bottles underneath his practice kit before he secretly handed them to the underprivileged kids outside the Ekana Cricket Stadium, as per the report from Dainik Bhaskar. Furthermore, he was also heard speaking about how the weather is quite hot in Lucknow currently, and the underprivileged kids should enjoy the cold drinks as much as they possibly can.
