LeBron James came out in support of his Los Angeles Lakers’ teammate Anthony Davis, following a come from behind win by 100-95 against the Phoenix Suns at the Crypto.com Arena. Anthony Davis had responded to critics with a very strong game at home on Thursday, October 26, after failing to score a single point in the second half of their season-opening loss to the Denver Nuggets a day prior.
The first regular season meeting in the NBA between LeBron James and Kevin Durant in more than five years delivered the goods in front of a sold-out crowd in Los Angeles. The Phoenix Suns were on their game in the first quarter, taking a 30-18 lead, despite missing the likes of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal due to foot and back injuries respectively.

The Los Angeles Lakers were not to be left behind for far too long, with a 30-22 second quarter performance, thanks majorly to Anthony Davis, to keep themselves well in the game. The Suns overpowered them in the third quarter on the back of Kevin Durant, to take the 84-72 lead, but LeBron James and the Lakers managed to wipe out the 12-point deficit to secure the victory in grand style.
In the post-match interview, LeBron James, who scored 21 points with eight rebounds and nine assists, spoke about the criticism coming the way of Anthony Davis (30 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists).
Watch the excerpts of LeBron James' comments on Anthony Davis here:
He said, as per Yahoo Sports, “We don't give a s*** about criticism about AD. We don't care. Nothing bothers us. AD doesn't care. I don't know if guys have figured that out. AD does not care. He's not on social media so he doesn't see none of that crap. He rarely talks unless it's to us. So we don't give a s*** about it. He definitely doesn't. Just got out and do his job. We're happy to have him.”
