The Delhi Capitals (DC) are taking on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 56 of Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Both teams are coming into this match on the back of losses in their respective matches. While the RR lost to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by one-run in a last-ball thriller, the DC lost to Kolkata Knight riders by seven wickets.
As the two sides come into this fixture, being crucial for both, it was the RR skipper Sanju Samson who won the toss. After winning the toss, RR elected to field and invited DC to put the score first. The wicketkeeper-batter also called in two changes in the side with Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer both missing out due to their respective niggles.
“We would like to bowl first. Looks a good wicket to chase on. We are comfortable doing both. The environment in the team is what pleases me, we have great characters, of course winning helps. Dhruv and Hetmyer are unavailable. Shubham Dubey and Donovon Ferreira are in,” Sanju Samson said at toss.
The DC also confirmed two changes in their XI with Gulbadin Naib making his debut and Ishant Sharma returning to the side after completing his rehab.
