LeBron James, one of the greatest NBA players of all time, is reportedly not a surety to play for the Los Angeles Lakers in the next season of the NBA. As per Brian Windhorst of ESPN, LeBron James is going to play next year but he doesn’t know if it is going to happen for the Lakers.

After joining the Los Angeles Lakers from the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018, the 39-year-old has taken the franchise to three playoffs in the NBA, winning the championship in 2020 while becoming the MVP of the finals. But the ongoing season of the NBA has been far from successful for the Lakers in his presence, with 21 wins and 21 losses thus far.

During the “Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective” podcast discussion alongside fellow ESPN writers Tim Bontemps and Tim MacMahon, Brian Windhorst shared the latest about what will be the career trajectory of LeBron James down the road. He was quoted as saying, “I don’t know what’s gonna happen with LeBron in 2025. I feel like LeBron is gonna play next year, but I don’t know if it’s gonna be for the Lakers.”

“Zero percent chance” of Lakers trading for Zach LaVine: Brian Windhorst

Apart from discussing the future of LeBron James, the ESPN NBA Insider Brian Windhorst also spoke about the narrative surrounding how Zach LaVine could end up playing for the Los Angeles Lakers down the road. He remarked, “I think there’s a zero percent chance of the Lakers trading for Zach LaVine.”
