Ahe ad of the IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, KKR received a special message from English striker Harry Kane and Bayern Munich wishing them well for the playoffs. Kolkata emerged as the best-performing team in this year's IPL as they finished first with nine wins, three losses and two no results.
With this first-place finish, KKR secured their spot in the 1st qualifier, which allows them two chances to reach the final. Wishing the Knight Riders the best of luck for the knockout campaign, Kane, who had an incredible individual season scoring 44 goals with 12 assists in 45 games, shared a special message. But it wasn't the case for Bayern Munich as they went trophy-less and lost out on the Bundesliga title for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

The KKR X (formerly Twitter) handle shared Kane's message with a caption saying, " A special message from Munich Grateful for your support, Harry Kane and everyone at @FCBayern !" In the video, the former Tottenham Hotspur star said, "Hey Kolkata Knight Riders, a great start to the season. Wishing you the very best for the remainder of the season. Sending our support from FC Bayern Munich."

Ahead of the Qualifier 1 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad, KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir spoke about how Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was the best owner he had worked with in the IPL.
Appearing on cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube channel, Gambhir said, “In the seven years of me captaining, we had not spoken 70 seconds about cricket. He had never asked me a single question on cricket in those seven years. Can you imagine?” he said.
