The third ODI between India and West Indies is underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium and the visitors have started really well, thanks to Alzarri Joseph. The young pacer has provided one of the best starts to West Indies by removing the two pillars of the Indian batting lineup and that too in the same over. Joseph got Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in a span of three deliveries.
In his second over of the day, Joseph removed the captain on the third delivery while he got Kohli on the fifth delivery. Rohit was looking in a fine touch as he raced to 12 off 10 deliveries. He smashed Joseph for two boundaries in his first over. However, the West Indies speedster had the last laugh as he got Rohit in his next over. He cramped Sharma for room on the offside as the India opener tried to cut him, perhaps for another boundary but ended up chopping the ball back on the sticks.
Meanwhile, Kohli found himself unlucky as he was caught behind strangling down the leg side. Joseph had pitched the delivery on the fuller side and the line was the middle leg. The ball kept pegging away and kissed Kohli’s bat, who was trying to flick it, on its way to Shai Hope. This is the second time in this series that Joseph has dismissed both Sharma and Kohli in the same over.

Pant and Shreyas taking innings forward
After three quick blows, India found itself in trouble. However, the duo of Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant are taking the innings forward. But it is not easy for them to score as well. Tight lines from Joseph and Roach has kept the duo quiet so far. Shreyas Iyer is rotating the strike well and scoring odd boundaries here and there. India will hope for a big partnership from here on as they look to clean sweep the series after claiming it already.
