On Monday, December 16, India got down to bat after bundling out Australia at the score of 445 runs early on third day of the Gabba Test. Although, the Indian top-order fell like a pack of cards, KL Rahul was the only bright spot, who scored 33 runs off 64 deliveries during his brief stay in the middle on the third day.
Earlier in the day, Jasprit Bumrah finished with six wickets to his name with Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep also getting a wicket each. While Bumrah stood out as the lone warrior in the Indian bowling attack, he walked out to interact after third day’s play at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Jasprit Bumrah engages in light-hearted banter with reporter; tells him to look on "Google”
Bumrah, who completed his 12th five-wicket haul in Test cricket, was seen engaging in a light-hearted banter. Speaking after Day 3’s play in the third Test against Australia, Bumrah was questioned to assess the batting. Although the reporter added that Bumrah might not be the right person to answer this, the Indian pace spearhead kept the mood upbeat, jokingly responding to check his numbers on Google.
“What is your assessment of the batting, although you are not the best person to answer the question, but what do you think about the situation of the team, considering the conditions in Gabba?" a reporter questioned Jasprit Bumrah after Day 3’s play. Bumrah while bringing in his usual self, replied, "It's an interesting question. But, you are questioning my batting ability. You should use Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over. But, jokes apart. That's another story."

Bumrah’s witty reponse left the room full of journalists in laugh. It is to be noted that the Indian vice-captain scored 34 runs off Stuart Broad’s over in Birmingham in 2022. He smashed Broad for three boundaries and as many sixes during a Test match.
