3. A maiden hundred from an emerging star
Another left-handed opener on the list but not as senior as Dhawan- this is the uncapped India star Devdutt Padikkal. Yet again the innings came in a run chase when Royal Challengers Bangalore were given a decent target of 178. However, Padikkal along with captain Virat Kohli at the other end made a mockery of the run chase. Padikkal, especially, was in splendid form as he remained unbeaten on 101 from just 52 deliveries, which included 11 fours and 6 sixes. Such was his brilliance that he overshadowed Virat Kohli at the other end, who himself picked up some form and eventually remained unbeaten on 72 from 47 to finish the match off in just the 17th over with all 10 wickets in hand.
